the concert and the accident

so we went to see jason sharp in concert last night. he was opening for anna nalick. he is so incredibly talented. he did his amazing usual with the guitar and then surprised the audience with a piano number for his last song. way to go jason. you’re the man!

oh yeah… anna nalick was good too :)

on my way to the concert. i got into a collision that included me but my car was never touched.

i was changing lanes from left to right and this other lady decided to also change into the same lane from right to left. she was a bit behind me to the right and almost hit my car. i heard screeching then i look over and she was right there to my right back, half way in the same lane. she jerked her car to get back to her original lane but lost control of the car. her car spun around, rolled over up the rocky embankment then back down to the highway facing the incoming heavy traffic.

i watched the whole thing in horror through my rear view mirror. i was amazed that no other cars were hit in the chaos. i pulled over, told lucas, erica and mariah (my niece) to stay in the car while i went to make sure she was ok. some people also stopped and were calling 911 already. within minutes the firemen, paramedics and several police cars were there. she was completely in shock.

her car was completely destroyed. one wheel flew off, another was half way eaten up by the cement and rocks, the top was smashed in, glass everywhere but not a scratch on her body or us and our rental car.

i believe there were angels at the scene. what do you think?

here are some pics i took with my cell phone:
