MY DRIVE TO BASKIN ROBBINS
a while back everyone was doing “My walk to Starbucks” posts and now i decided to share with you my drive to baskin robbins.
our ride, our friend and adopted family member who loves porkchops - octavio martinez.
alex and octavio engaged in deep spiritual conversation. actually, alex is just being a backseat driver… i love you honey =)
alex and octavio still blabbing away. the place is too busy so we go to another one… sorry, it was going to take an hour for them to fill all the orders in front of us.
we arrive at the next and final destination… i’m salivating.
mine is the big one… i was really craving a milkshake, ok?!
we get dropped off, everyone is happy and octavio drives home to his love - hi, lilia, we missed you =)
what’s your favorite ice cream?
keep dreaming!

Makes me nostaligic for California. Have you guys found a new house yet? Pass our regards on to Octavio. We arrive back in Scotland on 31st of May I have an interview with a bible college which could provide salary, car and housing so we would crave your prayers that it all works out.

I’ve never had Baskin Robbins. We don’t have special ice cream places much over here. Maybe we should stop by on our trip to California?!
My favourite ice creams always contain toffee, fudge and bits of honeycomb. Yum.

Strawberry Cheesecake is my favorite!

Toffee, fudge and bits of honeycomb?! Wow, not even Cold Stone offers those mix-ins. You must do it yourself?
I do. My favorite flavor right now is “Blueberry Frost”, inspired by a children’s book about Vic Bear and Arlo Gopher, neighbors trying to get along. I mix vanilla or vanilla-bean ice cream with frozen blueberries, then add a little (not too much) warm blueberry jam as a topping. Just like in the book, it’s good enough to cause trouble if supply is limited!

Withut a doubt, the best ice cream in the world is Graeter’s Ice Cream. It’s a local chain here in Cincinnati. This is the stuff Oprah gets shipped to her on dry ice. It’s that good. It’s made using the French pot method, and has these enourmous chunks of stuff in it: cookies, dark chocolate, nuts…it depends on the flavour you choose, of course.
My favorite, and probably their most popular, flavor is Black Raspberry Chip. If any of you are ever in Cincy, drop me a line; I’ll take you to Graeter’s, my treat.

I’ve loved rainbow sherbert since I was a child. Not the most ‘manly’ of flavors, but oh so tasty!

Hey Niza,
Thanks for welcoming me to the Vox community. Am I mistaken or is some/all of the music in the cafe from you? If it is yours thanks for sharing with us all.
As for the ice cream is it possible for someone to crave vanilla?

i love getting a cookie dough and brownie concrete with chocolate custard. yummmmmm. i normally prefer custard over hard-scooped ice cream. =)
