Too Much Starbucks?
— doSul at starbucks in düsseldorf, germany 2005—
so, the other day i went on my usual walk to starbucks and one of the girls who works there said to me:”i saw your husband earlier and… we were all outside and… one of the guys said: “look! that’s grande peppermint hot chocolate’s husband”"
i said: “cool! i got a nickname at starbucks”
too much of a good thing? what do you think?

Nope. Never. I’m just excited some are going to 24 hrs…if only there were more hours in the day. Imagine one open 36 hrs a day!

I used to have a usual… didn’t get anything but chai tea latte’s (or tai chi latte’s as I used to call them) for years.
But now that the amazing baristas at Stir (my young adult events (http://stirwood.blogspot.com)) have got me thoroughly hooked on their caffeinated devilry I’m having trouble finding stuff that’s up to snuff at Starbuck’s… believe it or not.
SO I try something different every time now… and I get them to make suggestions and try and help me decide… which I’m sure they HATE… and I certainly don’t blame them… and unfortunately that’s what I’m getting known for right now.
nooc.
p.s. Maybe I’ll get doSul up to Winnipeg sometime for one of our “The Mix” cafe’s. Maybe next year when construction on our new venue is completed. See http://nooc.voxtropolis.com

Ha! that is so funny! at least you don’t have a high maintenance name like I had when I was pregnant: “grande decaf soy two pump vanilla latte”

Too much Starbucks? Surely not!

Never! How could you even think such a thing. Doesn’t exist.
Since Fido & Bongo Java switched their chai mix (which used to be, before the switch, the BEST chai outside Inida) last year, I’ve been a Starbucks girl all the way. Too bad, too. I love Fido (http://www.bongojava.com/beans.php?content=fido).
Oh, and in the summer I’m known as Grande Chai Cream Frappuccino. YUMMMMM!

Steve is referred to as “Cinna-Man”, for his Cinnamon Spice Mocha. He walks in and starts making his drink before he gets up to the register. It’s like Cheer’s…where everybody knows your name…well at least the name they give you!

That is totally cool!
I’m hesitant to admit it but I’ve never been to Starbucks. I want to say I will, but I’m not sure I can afford a new addiction!
BTW - I walked into The Gap in Chattanooga and I would have sworn (if I swore!) that I heard dosul playing throughout the store. That possible?

They see me coming with my two tow-headed toddlers and everyone oohs and aahs and then runs for cover! The kids I nanny love going to Starbucks and everyone there (regulars included), know us by name as they tend to rampage through the store before settling in the high chairs. But we are loved, and we get special perks, like little cups of whipped cream with toppings, watered down apple juice, and last week for Michael’s two-year old birthday, they brought out a cupcake with a candle on top with all the baristas singing. It was so fun! Lots of Starbucks = good connection with people. Fun times, my grande peppermint hot chocolate friend!

quad, grande, with room, americano says “absolutely not.” Never too much of the nectar.
The room is for the taste, not for cream and sugar.

Starbuck’s, what that?!?! Oh I remember, the coffee place we all used to go to before they opened House Blend Cafe here in Orlando. Our own VOX Hot Spot - Yeah!!!
Just teasing Niza - Hey we had doSul to warm us up at the grand opening. It was a cold night in Florida until you guys showed up.
OK, so it’s a bit of a hike from the west coast, but check it out when you’re in town.
